E. Anecdote

An AAC specialist who recently moved to NJ was able to utilize our lending program in order to provide support for adults with communication impairments. She was also able to set up the consumers with the free membership to continue to borrow equipment to increase independence.

D. Anecdote

Parents of a young child with autism (and related communication challenges) attended a workshop and were very happy to be able to see demonstrations of a variety of augmentative communication apps for the iPad and other tablets. Their child just began receiving speech therapy services, but they wanted to learn more about AAC (both low and high tech), as well as the process of finding assistive technology that is a good match for their child.

Organized and delivered a statewide Assistive Technology conference with 176 participants and 19 concurrent sessions (covering all areas of AT: education, employment and community living)
